Vintage 40′s Adam Executive Fedora Hat 7 5/8 Stetson Picture(s) and Description:
Brim: 2 1/2"Crown: 6"Ribbon: 2" You are bidding on a phenomenal vintage Adam fedora, dated to the late 40's, in Adam's highest-grade / highest quality "executive" fur felt, in one of the rarest vintage head sizes available - a true 7 5/8 (yes, a true 24" circumference), with a stylish bound snap brim, complete with a plastic crown protector inside of the original hatbox! This is truly a find and a half. It has taken me a long, long time, but I have finally decided to list it here, as this hat DESERVES to be worn. The color is a classic light gray. The felt itself is very lightweight (so much so that, after a few minutes, you literally can't even feel it on your head), and a pleasure to crease to your liking. This hat has been professionally reblocked by Oscar Pierce of South Street Hats in Philadelphia, PA. If there's any flaw at all, it's the small ribbon wrinkle on the front of the ribbon and another on the back of the ribbon. As I understand it, a bit of steam and a spoon pressed against the ribbon repeatedly will take it right out. In the interest of keeping the hat in the wonderful condition that it is, and because I've never personally removed ribbon wrinkles, I've left them for you to take care of, if you'd like. Also, take note that the leather sweatband is a bit stiff due to drying out over the past seven decades, but there isn't a single crack or any evidence of flaking anywhere, and when wearing the hat, it causes no discomfort whatsoever. To be clear, you can still bend the leather sweatband without any issue at all. It just isn't buttery-soft anymore is all. Both flaws are so minor, but I'm being extra-descriptive about them in the name of being as thorough as possible for you. Make no mistake, however; this hat is a completely wearable, wonderfully preserved, and ready to be awoken from its 70 year slumber to see the light of day once again. Not into the nylon pinstripe stingy-brim mall fedora everyone's been wearing these days? Don this beauty on your head and show 'em how it's done. Here's all you need to know: 01) PayPal only.
